Shellhamer Medical & Support Fund

If you have ever met any one of the Shellhamer's, you immediately feel the light they bring into a room. All around great family.
This past fall, Linda was diagnosed with breast cancer and has since had a partial mastectomy and has *JUST* started chemotherapy treatments, to be followed by radiation treatments and more surgery.
DAYS before Linda's first chemo treatment, the family was dealt an unexpected blow. EDDIE - was rushed to the ER with what we now know to be acute pancreatitis. Linda actually had to postpone her first chemo treatment because Eddie was in the ICU.
Although Eddie was moved into the PCU and was doing better, in the last 24/48 hours, he has been moved BACK to the ICU, his condition has become more severe, and as this is being written - his case is being reviewed as he may have to be airlifted or transferred to another hospital for care. He is not expected to come home anytime soon. This has turned into a significant battle and his hospital stay is open-ended at this point.
The Shellhamers are insured, but as we all know insurance does not cover 'everything' and it certainly does not cover 'time off work' and all that comes with that. At the time of this writing, Linda has exhausted her work leave and Eddie has just about exhausted his, all reserves are exhausted, and right now, neither are able to return to work - nor will they be anytime soon.
Family and friends have shown tremendous support and everyone is offering meals and asking how to help. Where meals are appreciated, honestly, no one is home to eat them since all time is being spent at the hospital these days.
Life doesn't stop because you are in the hospital. The lights still need to stay on, bills still come in, and stress of all that in this situation is overwhelming. It is on that note that this GoFundme page was born.
Linda and Eddie help others, all the time. Now they need help. Eddie needs to get better and out of the ICU, Linda needs to battle cancer, and the LAST thing they need to do is worry about money and where it is going to come from since neither can go back to work at the moment.
Please consider donating to this fund. Any amount large or small is appreciated.
If you do not wish to donate online, general use gift cards such as a Visa Gift card, or Kroeger Gift cards, are appreciated. Giftcards can be mailed direct to:
