Help Us Lay Our Mother To Rest
Donation protected
As many of you are aware, our Mother, Shelmar Louise Custard passed away on Tuesday night. First let me share how strong of a person she was. Shelly was a mother, daughter, sister, and friend to many of us. She loved being around others and was very sensitive to others feelings. Our mother was not only kind, but a strong willed person. She fought her was out a near death experience last April, when she was admitted to ICU, we were told that she wasn't probably going to make it. Well she surprised the doctors that night by proving how strong she was, by going against all odds and pulling through.
She was later sent to Parkhouse Providence Pointe where she underwent rehab for the past 9.5 months. She was a friend/comic relief to the nursing staff, supportor to other patients, and a loving mother to her children, as well as her "adopted" children.
In the last 6 weeks, things took a turn for the worst, her mind and body began to work against her. She underwent many tests to find the source, unfortunately none of us knew the clock was ticking. She gave her last breath Tuesday night, closed her eyes and went to be with God and many other loved ones who've passed on.
The hardest part of this is having to say goodbye to our mother, who has been the rock in our life. All and any contributions would be greatly appreciated. We will be having a funeral service on Monday, February 22nd 2016 starting at 5:30 pm for family and friends to see her one last time and say their goodbyes. The ceremony will start at 7 pm by Reverend Kern at Skalkop Grace & Strunk Funeral Home of Spring City.
Thank you for all the Love, Support, and Prayers! They truly mean so much to all of us.
Love,
Richard, Mark and Shanelle!
