Santa Dash for Romania Xmas appeal 2019

OVERVIEW:
On 1st of December 2019 I am putting on my Santa costume to run the Liverpool Santa Dash in support of Xmas Shoebox Appeal Liverpool . This is an independent Xmas appeal that I have been organising for underprivileged children in Romania for 6 years. The concept is simple. You bring in Xmas presents at the collection centres in Liverpool and Warrington. I send them to poor children in Romania who wouldn't have a Xmas gift otherwise. I always try to reach the ones in greatest need, irrespective of their gender, ethnicity or religion. When I am allowed, I take pictures so that you can see who receives your boxes.
THE REASON:
As most of you know, charity work has always been an important part of my life. Whether it was through direct donations or by fundraising through running marathons, climbing mountains or pedalling bikes, I have tried to give something back the best way that I can. Romania is a country of great social inequalities and many children living around my hometown wouldn't have a gift for Xmas if it wasn't for this appeal. I hope that we can bring some happiness to them, even if only for a day.
WHAT ARE THE DONATIONS FOR?
500 children had a happier Xmas last year thanks to you. More than a half a ton of presents were sent from Liverpool to Romania and I am hoping many more would be raised this year. I am using this fundraising page to help with the transport fees and purchasing more presents for the children.

THE LIVERPOOL SANTA DASH:
This is an annual 5 kilometre fun run held in the first week of December around Liverpool City Centre. It currently holds the World record for the largest Santa Claus fun run.
HOW CAN YOU HELP?
1) Please donate. Contributions are highly encouraged and needed to reach the campaign goal. I will be doing the running and coordinating this project, but in essence this is a team effort, so please donate whatever you can.
2) Please make a shoebox. Put sweets, toys, clothes or anything that could make a child happy in a box. Wrap everything in Xmas wrapping and leave it at any of the collection points at Aintree Hospital, Royal Liverpool Hospital or Warrington Hospital. I send them to poor children in Romania who wouldn't have a Xmas gift otherwise. When I am allowed, I take pictures so you can see who receives your boxes.
3) Please share the fundraising link / the Shoebox Appeal page via social network (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn etc) and distribute directly to those interested in this cause (family, friends, your colleagues, people who care and can help).
