Shreveport needs more laughs—and we’re building the place to make it happen.

Hi, I’m Mark Pugh, a local creative, comedian, and big believer in what live entertainment can do for a city. After years of dreaming (and joking) about it, I’m taking the leap: I’m working to open a brand-new, independent comedy club in the heart of Shreveport. But I can’t do it without your help.

Why a Comedy Club? Why Now?

Shreveport has soul. We’ve got artists, musicians, storytellers—but we’re missing a dedicated space for comedy. A place where stand-up, improv, podcasts, and wild late-night shows can thrive. A place for laughter, connection, and community.

We’re building this space for:

• Local comedians and up-and-coming performers

• National acts who want to tour somewhere real and raw

• Audiences who are tired of staying home and want a good, affordable night out

We’re calling it a comedy lounge, because the vibe is intimate, cozy, and full of character. Think red lights, cold drinks, a hot mic, and good energy—seven nights a week.

Where Your Donation Goes

We’ve set a fundraising goal of $500,000, with a full breakdown below. Every dollar gets us closer to opening our doors and building something that lasts.

Tier 1 – $150,000: The Launch Pad

• Building purchase or lease acquisition

• Basic renovations, permits, and legal setup

Tier 2 – $300,000: The Comedy Club Comes Alive

• Stage, lights, sound, seating, decor, and staffing

Tier 3 – $500,000: The Dream Club

• Full bar, video equipment for livestreams, marketing, and future-proofing

Stretch goals include a rooftop patio, artist residencies, and a comedy school for locals!
