It Takes a Village

Steve and Anna Sibley have been an admired couple for over 50 years, starting in 1966 as High School sweethearts, giving of themselves and to our community with love and generosity. It’s time for us to give back.

Steve passed away on April 13th after battling health issues over the past few years. He was an amazing husband, father to Stevie and Shawn, grandfather to Seth and Anthony and friend to many. He was a phenomenal baseball player being drafted by the San Francisco Giants in 1968 in the 1st Round. Steve was a grand “father”’ and mentor to his grandson Anthony sharing his skills and passion for the game of baseball. He was Anthony’s biggest fan, and along with Anna, was at every game.

Steve and Anna have raised 14-year-old Anthony since he was a toddler and dreamed of watching him play in “The Show” one day. Since Steve’s passing, on her own, Anna continues to be a baseball mom, taxi driver for her grandson to school, appointments, many practices, games and social activities. She works every weekday at Monarch Grove Elementary school as a playground & lunchtime duty supervisor.

Anna is moving through her days with a smile on her face, working, doing what she needs to do, focusing on raising Anthony and looking towards his future.

It’s in situations such as this we often ask ourselves “What can I do? How can I help Anna?” We are asking You, friends, family and community to give back to an amazing family. Donations of any amount, big or small, would be greatly appreciated for memorial expenses and future expenses that will undoubtedly occur. Let’s please work together to help take some of this financial uncertainty off her heart.
