Simsbury Bantam A Hockey - Road to Nationals
Donation protected
Dear Family, Friends and Supporters of Simsbury Youth Hockey,
Our Bantam A (14U) hockey team has had an incredible season during an extraordinary time.
On Sunday, March 28, Simsbury beat the #1 seed, New Canaan, in OVERTIME (4-3) to win the Tier 2 U14 State Tournament and advance to the USA Hockey Tier II National Championship Tournament in McKinney, Texas from April 28 - May 3.
WATCH THE WINNING GOAL ABOVE
After going undefeated this season – a season that was halted for 2 months because of the COVID-19 pandemic – Simsbury Bantam A will be the only team representing the State of Connecticut on the national stage!
This is also the FIRST time in 20-years that a Bantam A team from Simsbury Youth Hockey has made it to nationals.
While this is an exciting time for SYHA, it also places a significant expense on the traveling families; hotels, flights, transportation, and meals for the team and their families for 6 days.
We are hoping our families, friends and community will consider supporting the team to help offset the expenses for these incredible athletes.
We will keep this page updated throughout the tournament so you can follow the teams’ journey and cheer on these young men!

ABOUT SIMSBURY YOUTH HOCKEY ASSOCIATION
In 2021, Simsbury Youth Hockey Association will celebrate its 50th anniversary of bringing developmental and competitive hockey to players from Simsbury and its surrounding towns. Over the years, Simsbury Youth Hockey has proudly represented the state of CT in countless State and Regional competitions, however, we could not have asked for a better way to kick off this milestone than to send the first team in over 20 years to compete on the USA Hockey National stage.
