Donation protected
Dear 2Cal Family & Other Loved Ones,
Our beloved Sister Sharon Stewart passed away on Sunday, December 4 after faithfully facing significant health complications this year. She touched us all with her warm, genuine, loving spirit - pouring tirelessly into her family, church, and community.
Please consider pouring into her memory by helping the Stewart family with the unexpected and costly expenses for Sis. Stewart's funeral services. All donations will be given to Sis. Stewart's son, Mark Stewart. Please consider donating if you are able to do so. We are so very grateful for every donation during this difficult time. (Costs include $8,100 for funeral services, burial plot, and transportation to York, S.C.*)
Sis. Stewarts believed in the scripture: “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me” (Philippians 4:14). Sis. Stewart trusted and believed in God and wants all to know that everything she accomplished in life was done through the grace and strength of Jesus Christ. Even as she faced debilitating health challenges, she continued to praise God, share her testimony of faith in Jesus Christ, and loved on everyone within her reach.
Thank you for your time and consideration. We wish you peace, blessings, and the unconditional love of Christ during this time.
*Cost adjusted to reflect exact cost quoted by funeral home in York, S.C. - 12/4 11:30 p.m.

Sis. Sharon Stewart was a 61 years old native of York, South Carolina. She worked for 35+ years in customer service at Wendy’s, a lounge in downtown Charlotte, and Burger King while raising her son, Mark, as a single mother. She served at Second Calvary Baptist Church in Charlotte for 32 years - There she was one of the kind church mothers known as much for her fashion as her powerful voice in the church choir. Her Facebook name "Sharon Spiritually Blessed Stewart" was a true description of the legacy of faith, inspiration, and lovingkindness she leaves behind.
In 2020, Sis. Stewart began experiencing neuropathy (nerve damage) in her toes, which caused a severe infection in her left big toe. While the doctor attempted to treat it she wore special shoes to work while she stood on her feet at least 40 hours a week as a manager at Burger King.
After the treatments failed, she was forced to have her toe removed in August 2022. Two weeks after the amputation, she suffered a stroke in her spinal cord that caused her to become wheelchair-bound and completely unable to walk. The day before Thanksgiving, she went in for a related procedure and after returning home she experienced further life-threatening complications.
Sis. Stewart wanted those around her to know that despite her declining health, she remained steadfast in her faith in God and Jesus Christ as well as her love for her family, friends, and community. Her determination to stay connected to the Holy Spirit during her illness was a powerful testimony and message to the world.
