The Belinda Educational Group For Science and Technology (BEGST), is a non-profit, 501 (c )(3) organization that supports educational institutions increase minority enrollment in science and technology courses by creating unique and exciting experiences targeted to students of color. BEGST’s Smart Sky program uses an innovative telescope design to provide opportunities for everyone to enjoy the wonders of the universe and practically contribute to citizen-led science. BEGST uses a computer-connected, automated telescope for non-professional observers. Smart Sky will stimulate and nurture interest in STEM through its association with high schools, colleges, and universities (especially, Historically Black Colleges and Universities). Your help will enable BEGST to launch Smart Sky at three schools; thereafter, raising visibility and support to expand the program in the U.S. and abroad.
