Farm Tools For Solidarity

The Mutual Aid Working Group of North NJ chapter of the Democratic Socialists of America is raising money to help purchase materials needed for the Ramapough Lunaape Turtle Clan’s Munsee Three Sisters Medicine Farm in Newton, NJ. This farm will, in the words of Chief Vincent Mann, “not only be utilized for sustenance, but also for educating our children and families in the traditional ways of our ancestors.” A great deal has already been spent on plants, compost, mulch and deer fencing. We aim to help the Turtle Clan maximize the money they are spending out of pocket on the farm and lighten their burden for large dollar outlays like cost for compost and top soil, PVC piping, wood and roofing for building, water storage tanks, a tool shed and so on...
