Welcome to our GOFUNDME Page. We are Solidarity with Packing Plant Workers
Our grassroots organization was founded in April of 2020. We are made up of family members, neighbors and community members that are concerned about the lack of safety and health precautions at Nebraska's Packing Plants.
We are asking to support our GoFundMe to continue to make an impact and hold our leaders and corporations accountable for those they deem essential. We are upping our fundraising goal to $5,000. Please help us reach it!
Since we started our GoFundMe Page, we have done the following:
Testified at various hearings
Car caravans in Lexington, Grand Island, Crete, Lincoln and Omaha
Developed a billboard campaign reaching Lexington, Grand Island, Hastings, Crete, Omaha, Lincoln, South Sioux, Columbus and more.
Organize with various statewide organizations
Organized with various national organizations

Billboards pop up across Nebraska advocating for better health standards in meatpacking plants
This Go Fund Me was created in response to an outpouring of support from community members wanting to financially help the cause.
This includes supporting our communities, especially those who work in the packing industry to get adequate information & resources, as well as to pressure workplaces & governments for the necessary changes to working conditions, greater transparency and justice.
Funds raised will help pay for materials for actions to help protect our packing plant workers such as poster printing and PPE for plant worker families.
Any funds we receive that go beyond our goal of $1,000 will be donated to various Nebraska non-profits that are financially supporting or providing different services for these essential workers.
