Spencer Pride Documentary

Donation protected
Hi, I'm Mitch Teplitsky, director/producer of the new documentary-in-progress about Spencer Pride and how they are helping transform a rural Indiana town. It's an uplifting story from the heartland that shows how Americans can work together to make their community better.

After two years, we aim to begin editing this summer and get this out into the world by year-end. (See plans below). There is already LOTS of interest from around the county!

I am launching this campaign to invite you to help me finish the film and get this out into the word ASAP!

Crowdfunding is the fastest way I know to raise funding. It's also a great way to help build our passionate community of fans and partners even before the film is finished.

Please back this project at any level - and share it with your friends and networks! I would love to see at least 1,000 people donate. Let's make a statement!

Donations raised in this campaign will help pay for editing and other aspects of post-production, including music, archival footage, and color correction.

Everyone who donates will receive updates from me, recognition online (and in the film credits for donations of $100 or more), and a lot of pride!

Tax-deductible donations and grants are also an option! These can be made directly (checks or credit card) through our 501C-3 fiscal sponsor, the Center for Independent Documentary. Contact me with any questions!

DISTRIBUTION & COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT

Here's the game plan: We want to premiere the documentary at the historic Tivoli Theatre in Spencer — then bring it to audiences across the USA, via:
  • Film festivals and regional independent theaters
  • Pride centers and other community venues
  • Universities and high schools
  • Conferences
  • Non-profits, companies, and other institutions
