Sean's Heart Transplant Fund
Donation protected
In 2013, Sean began experiencing heart issues, but he still doesn’t have an official diagnosis. After months of testing by two different hospitals, he was told he was suffering from cardiac sarcoidosis. However, after failed biopsies at yet another hospital, that diagnosis was discarded. Doctors say a heart transplant is essential.
For this basketball lover, who was once very active and athletic, it’s been difficult to cope with the limitations caused by his health challenges. He once enjoyed jogging and playing basketball, but these days he can barely walk without feeling short of breath. During such a difficult time, Sean is thankful for the love and support of his wife, Elizabeth, and their two little boys. He dreams of once again being able to run and play with his boys, and he would love to go on a walk with Elizabeth and their dog without having to sit and catch his breath. But right now, he needs your help.
The average heart transplant costs nearly $1 million. And that’s only the beginning. Even with health insurance, which will cover the cost of the transplant, he faces significant expenses related to the surgery. For the rest of his life, he will need follow-up care and daily anti-rejection medications. Post-transplant medications are very expensive, and they’re as critical to his survival as the transplant itself.
His wife, Elizabeth, has had health issues of her own, having had 5 back surgeries in just the past 18 months due to a botched surgery. She is now on disability. With neither of them able to work, your donations will ensure that this loving couple can provide for their two beautiful boys, keep food on the table, and a roof over their head, while Sean and Elizabeth heal.
Thank you for your generosity!
