Sports Academy/ EP Elite Vegas Trip

Every year we put together an end of the summer trip for the teams in our grassroots basketball program. This year we are fundraising for our 8th grade (14u) and 9th grade (15U) boys basketball teams to attend and compete in the Las Vegas Classic from 7/20 - 7/24. The amount fundraised will cover flights and lodging for many of the children whose families are unable to cover the costs.
 
These trips are not simply about basketball. These trips provide many of these kids a chance to travel, experience new things, and open their minds to what else there is outside of Lousisana. Many of these boys would not get these opportunities if it wasn't for this basketball program; our end of the year trip last year was the first time many of the kids had ever flown on a plane.

Also, these trips pull many of the kids out of their no-so-great enviroment for a weekend and gives them something fulfilling and positive to do with their time.  The experiences and opportunities these kids get to see on these trips give them something to aspire for and shows them the world is bigger than the city or town they grew up in.  

One of the big reasons I moved back home was to be able to work with kids in the neighborhoods I grew up in and give them the opportunities I had as a kid due to my parents and great coaches. I'm hoping this GoFundMe will allow others to join me and do the same.
