Stand By The Olson Family

Our family is in desperate need of your help. Our son-in- law, Derek Olson, crashed into the Little Salmon River  on Monday March 20th. His car was recovered but we are still searching for Derek and are quickly losing hope. He leaves behind a loving family; wife Felicia, son Evan (10), and daughter Sasha (4) who will struggle without him in so many ways.

Derek was working on establishing a brewing business with the intent to provide extra money for his family and pay for college tuition for his children. So much went into starting this business. Without Derek, the family’s main source of income is now gone and they are at risk of losing their home and livelihood. They are completely devastated and so we have started this page to try and help them gain some peace of mind so they can grieve the loss of Derek without having to worry about their basic survival.

Derek loved his home town of Riggins, Idaho. His family was everything to him and we know he would be so grateful to know the community he loved so much was able to come together to catch them during this difficult time.
