*UPDATE:*
Due to unforseen problems with my autonomic system controlling my blood sugar, My dog Stella is going to need more training than initially anticipated - 24 months of it to be exact, (up from the original 18). She will need to be able to detect my blood sugar as well as my blood pressure and heart rate. This means that its going to gost $2,400 in total, I am going to ask for $1,200 of that now as much as it pains me to do so, I dont know how I'll be able to afford all the training on my own. Thank you all so so much for your continued support and I am so sorry there have been changes in the final goal for the campaign!
Hey everyone, my name is Jasmine. I am 18, and I hope to be an artist/ museum exhibit designer :) I've been in and out of 'chronically ill' as long as I can remember. When I was in 4th grade I broke my ankle and it stayed broken for another 4 years. My uncle finally recommended I try not eating wheat and turns out, I am celiac. So I stopped eating wheat and finally I was doing a lot better! For about 3 years I was doing really well, within a month of going gluten free my ankle was completely better, I wasn't so tired, my head stopped hurting so much. Unfortunately, I have not been doing so great lately. If I exercise I flush and get migraines, if I stand up too quickly I black out. I am constantly tired and quite honestly, it sucks. Finally I went to the Mayo Clinic and they told me I may have something called POTS. I haven't gone through all the tests yet but I will be going back the 15th and 16th of May to finish! I am really hesitant to ask for money but I also would really benefit from having someone to catch me when I fall and get water for me when I'm having a dizzy spell. To if I faint in public, alert people that I need help, protect me, and try and wake me up. The money will go towards adoption fees and the training we would do together. I am going to fund 600 of it on my own and I'm going to try and raise the other bit on here. The training is the big thing because it costs 100 dollars a month, which may not seem like a lot, but I am a student and I work a halftime job and I can't afford this on my own no matter how I budget it. I could save up but it would take a few years and I'd really like to go on to college in the fall of 2018. I really would be incredibly grateful your help even if it's not a lot, thank you so much for listening to my story!
