Hello everyone,
Monica was involved in a terrible car accident where she sustained life-threatening injuries: an intracranial hemmorhage, and multiple broken bones including her neck, spine, and arm. She has been in and out of surgeries since the accident and has a long road of recovery ahead of her while doctors and nurses continue to give her round-the-clock care in the intensive care unit. We could not be more thankful for the amazing medical team that saved her life!
Her family has been by her side 24/7 to support her through this terrible tragedy, but it’s hard to give her the care and attention she deserves while the hospital bills are stacking up. Monica’s parents live ~3 hours away from the city, and her dad has been driving back and forth with barely any time to sleep before work early in the morning while her mom stays by her side day in and day out making sure there is always someone by her side.
Hopefully, by creating this GoFundMe and utilizing our network of friends and family, we can help ease Monica's family of some of the financial burden that they will be facing for the next few years while she recovers. These donations will go towards her surgeries, extended hospital stay, and future therapeutical/medical needs. As her friends and her sisters, it is heartbreaking to see her go through this pain, but we will do everything in our abilities to help with whatever little bit we can. Monica has been a beacon of strength in our lives and has always been someone to go to when in seek of advice. For all the times she's been there for us, we want to return the favor and do the same for her.
