The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “Whoever builds a mosque for Allah, Allah will build for him a house like it in Paradise.”
As-salamu alaykum, Our current mosque was founded in 1988 by dedicated members of the Stroudsburg Muslim community with only few families being serviced by the center.
As of this year, the Stroudsburg Islamic Center is servicing more than 200 families in the community with diverse ethnic cultures and backgrounds. In addition, the center service between 100 to 200 additional families outside the community who visit the center during major events and holidays.
We have come together as a community and decided we will need to create a new mosque to help provided for all the old and new members to our beautiful community.
Our community in Stroudsburg which includes - adults, children, students, etc. will benefit from every dollar that is given to this fundraiser towards the construction of our new mosque, Insha allah. By not just providing more prayer space for Jummah prayer, and proper parking space but it will give us proper space to host more youth programs and classrooms for our weekly Islamic School for our childrens and adults.
