Sugar Bowl Staff Relief Fund
Donation protected
The Sugar Bowl Luncheonette has been a Darien fixture for more than 50 years. Owner, Bob Mazza tried but is unable to keep the restaurant open during the current health crisis leaving the kitchen and wait staff without their regular income. If 150 customers would contribute $200 each, less than the equivalent of two breakfasts a week for 3 months, we could raise badly needed funds to keep the staff out of financial danger until the luncheonette can reopen.
By the way, I (Larry Perlstein) have been going to the Sugar Bowl religiously since 2005. I used to live in Darien walking distance to it, and I now live in Westport not far from Bob. I promise that all funds raised will go directly to Bob for distribution to the staff.
Let's make it Christmas in the March for the beloved Sugar Bowl...
