Support for Chris Osterhoff
A few days ago, Chris was on his way to work when things started to feel a little different. The road didn't seem quite normal, almost like a simulation with a glitch in the system. Vibrant colors soon turned to black and white and the horizon a pixelated fuzz as if he was teleported into an old school Atari simulator. This is when he knew he was in trouble and fought his way to Northwestern Hospital in Huntley. In reality Chris' body was fighting to survive and his body was starving for fuel. He would soon come to realize that just as other members of his family struggled with diabetes he too was going through a crisis of his own.
Chris was immediately admitted into ICU diagnosed with Diabetic Ketoacidosis and pancreatitis. For the past week he's been poked and prodded with needles but all the while, in typical Chris fashion, keeping high spirits and a light heart. Currently he is doing well, though a little hangry;he is expected to make a full recovery in the coming days.
We ask that you please join us and become part of Chris' army of support through this time.
Any donations or words of encouragement would play a big role in keeping spirits high and help relieve the financial stressors of ongoing medical expenses, missed work, and funding an overdue camping trip with his kids (of which was postponed).
