Support Frankie Boots After Attack
Hi all, as I am sure many of you have heard my dear husband was sucker punched in front of a bar on 7/15 by a complete stranger. This attack resulted in a shattered nose and a fractured cheekbone, as well as a massive amount of stress and pain and the inability to work. Those of you who know Frank know he is the last person who deserves to be at the receiving end of a fist; he is kind, big hearted, and non-confrontational almost to a fault. Frank is the first one to lend a helping hand to a stranger, and never hesitates to show love to someone whether he has known them for 10 years or 10 minutes. We have been so touched by the outpouring of support from our friends and loved ones, and I can't tell you what a privilege and an honor it is to be married to someone who is so beloved by so many wonderful people. He is a true community member, and the community he is a part of here in Sonoma County is a great one.
We are asking for the help of our community to cover Frank's medical bills and help us get back on our feet while Frank heals his nose and cheek bone. He will be forced to take a currently unknown amount of time off of work, undergo a procedure to rebreak and then set his nose, and deal with multiple doctors appointments and potentially lasting side effects of his injuries. After being forced to move away from our home in New Orleans due to the pandemic, it feels as though we are just now getting back on our feet, and the bills in front of us are overwhelming. I know that most of you are musicians and creatives yourselves, and understand what it feels like to have one terrible event impact your life so greatly.
Personally, I am heartbroken to see the person I love most in the world suffering while all I can do is sit and wring my hands. Frank is a productive, busy person who loves to work, pursue his many hobbies, and stay physically active; being forced to halt his life for even a week has been devastating. With that being said, I can't tell you enough what a comfort it's been to read your comments and messages letting Frank know that you love him and are thinking about him. Sometimes small gestures such as a kind word can make the difference between a low moment and a hopeful one.
We thank you all in advance for your support and generosity; we know that this is a rough time financially for most folks, and hope you know that any help we receive will be greatly appreciated ❤️ We are so blessed to call you all our friends.
