Support Michael’s Road to Recovery

On August 6th, while Michael was on a job site, he unexpectedly fell from a tree during a routine climb. Although safety measures were in place, his personal protective equipment failed resulting in a 30’ fall to the ground.

First responders brought him to North Memorial Trauma Center where he was evaluated for potential injuries. Michael had several fractures to his ribs and vertebrae, along with spinal severing. He underwent surgery to place a metal plate in his back along with fusing together his vertebrae but unfortunately his spine cannot be repaired.

Sadly, Michael received the devastating news that he is paralyzed from the waist down. His next course of action will be weeks of rehabilitation and learning how to navigate life going forward.

Funds raised will go towards his medical needs, lost wages for time away from work and supporting his family.

As an outdoor enthusiast and business owner, this injury will be extremely hard on him and prevent him from doing many things he loves. From his tree and landscaping work to hunting and fishing with his family, there is no shortage of time spent outside.

Michael and his wife Cassondra have been together for nearly 20 years and raise 4 children (8,9,14, and 19) in Princeton, MN. They enjoy their summers at the lake, winters ON the lake and spending time with extended family.
