Helping a Friend
Donation protected
Thank you so much for all your donations! As you can see when you drive by the house, the roof, part of the siding, and the front door are finished because of all your generosity. However, due to the fact that the house was in greater disrepair than the contractors originally anticipated, our goal increased to $20,000. Some of the things that were thought to be repairable needed to be completely replaced, therefore increasing the cost of labor and materials. Please help us achieve our revised financial goal, so that we can keep the elements out before a cold winter comes.
Four Mendham High School students light the torch to unite the community to help finish the Post's home. Why the Posts? Mrs. Post is our very close friend and role model. She is nurturing, selfless, and kind-hearted.
We, Lauren Ryan, Mika Elby, Alex Bulko, and Sam Buccarelli, first took on this project because were friends with her children, now it is more then that.
Despite being the mother of 17 children (most of whom are adopted), battling breast cancer and tearing her shoulder from a car accident, Mrs. Post consistently gives back to those in need. For example, she enabled 27 girls to go to prom by collecting prom dresses and donating them to these girls. She also donated furniture to an elderly women in newark who owned nothing but a cot. Not only that, but she donates school supplies to those who do not have. The list goes on an on...
Most people's “American Dream” is to have a big house with a family, a pet, and wealth, but Mrs. Post's dream is to make a difference. She wants to finish her house, not for herself, but for those who live in it.
It is time for all of us to help her achieve her dream. This gofundme page has been set up to finish the roof, siding, windows, and doors in order to keep the elments "out." Mrs. Post showed all of us what it means to give back, and now it is our turn to give back to her.
