Donation protected
Today, Rumiko and Geir Isaksen's filial son, Takaaki passed to the next world. He fought so hard and gave this life his all, appreciating and uplifting all who knew him.
Please, please pray for Takaaki and Rumiko-san.
I will update when her schedule is clear.
Your support is good.
The Isaksen family is in need of support. My friend Rumiko Isaksen is in Norway looking after her 33 year old son, Takaaki, (known as Taka by friends) who is battling with the metastasis of the esophageal cancer, spread to the lymph and to the abdominal cavity.
This is a courageous family. The mother, was trained as a concert pianist in her country, Japan and then at The Juilliard School. Her dream was to play and to teach so her music could uplift. The father, Geir Isaksen, a young mechanic from Norway, worked on the engines of fishing boats. His dream was to feed the world through fishing. Their joy and pride, was their son, larger than life, who rumbled like a bear, with a smile that warms the hearts of all.
The father died when the boy was too young. The family with friends around them, endured, even thrived. The boy, grown and yearning, decided to return to the land of his father. He became a key manager in a Norwegian company, quickly learning a difficult language.
Two years ago, Takaaki learned the rough way that he has esophageal cancer. There have been many ups and more downs over the last two years. Good doctors are treating him at one of the good hospitals in the modern city of Oslo. Takaaki, who looked like a wrestler, has thinned. Recently he can’t eat. He is enduring his 20th chemotherapy treatment, plus receiving radiation therapies and immunotherapy. He is enduring pain and not giving up. His mother, visiting for over a month, is not working. There is no father to provide.
The family needs prayers. And finances.
Our goal is $20,000. Let’s see if we can do more!
