Support Black Stone Bookstore & Cultural Center

Black Stone Bookstore & Cultural Center is an independent African-American bookstore. We are located in the heart of downtown Ypsilanti, Michigan, just a block away from the Eastern Michigan University College of Business. We opened November 2, 2013, in hopes of bringing awareness to true African-American literature and culture.
We’ve closed our doors for business because of COVID-19, and the many programs and community support we normally offer we are no longer able to do so. We are hopeful this crisis does not last. We love what we do here. We miss our customers, and we miss each other. Our goal is to weather this setback, and stay in business, and reopen our doors to our lovely customers & community very soon.
Please help us make it through this time. Whatever you can give to our GoFundMe campaign will support us over the next weeks and months, and allow us to remain a vibrant community – together. You can also visit www.blackstonebookstore.com to order books to be delivered to your home. We are so grateful to you, and appreciate all the trips you’ve made to our bookstore, and all the trips you will make. We hope we’ll see you very soon.
With love and appreciation from the owners and staff of Black Stone Bookstore & Cultural Center
