Support Joni's Hospice Journey

Ten years ago, Joni Mckinney was diagnosed with stage 4 nonsmokers lung cancer. In those ten years, Joni has fought like a wildcat and lived a life of joy, positivity, and love. Seriously, cancer has never seen a warrior’s-will like hers. Unfortunately, cancer is a treacherous beast and has metastasized to her brain. She has now developed a form of cancer that no amount of determination can defeat.

Joni is now on hospice care. She’s only 48, y’all. WHAT KIND OF WORLD ARE WE LIVING IN? She’s also a wife, a mother, a daughter, a sister, a special education teacher, a coach, and a ride-or-die friend.

This move to end-of-life care is devasting for her husband, Adrian, her 11-year-old daughter, McKinney, and her 22-year-old son, Dayne, and has crushed the hearts of her parents, four sisters, and the rest of her family and friends.

Joni loves life and hasn’t wasted one moment of hers. She also loves her people and is a friend to all, a defender of the weak, and would give her last dollar to help anyone in need.
