Anyone who knows Ramsey Scott (aka Tammy Georgallides) knows what a sensitive, thoughtful, powerful woman she is. Through her incredible art, music, massage work, friendship, and support, Ramsey has touched the lives of so many people and continues to do so.

Just recently, our beloved Ramsey received some unexpected and challenging news. She learned that she has Uterine Cancer.

When she had pain in her abdomen, large blood clots began to appear. Fortunately, she took immediate action to get it checked out and the found out her diagnosis. She will receive an invasive surgery on April 12th at the UNM Hospital in Albuquerque, NM. There will be a biopsy on the removed organs to know what further treatment, such as additional surgery, radiation, and chemotherapy may be needed. Currently, there is a 50% chance that it has already spread beyond her reproductive organs.

She is hopeful that a full hysterectomy - cervix, uterus, fallopian tubes, ovaries, and a lymph node from each side - will be avoided, but we do not know what the future holds.

A note from Ramsey:

"My son is flying in to support me the first week of the surgery and recovery period. This fundraiser will not only help me make it through these months without income but also allow you, the giver to participate in my recovery. I bow before each of you in gratitude. Well, bowing at least before the surgery, after the surgery I will need to wait a few weeks or more for a proper bow :)

I am uncertain as to how the following weeks, months, and year will unfold. I do need assistance, not only with tending to the monthly bills, rent, utilities, food, car payment, etc. but also with fuel costs to and from doctors and hospitals. I live about 3 hours away from the facility (6 hours round trip) and my medical appointments will be many. Hotels before and after surgery will be needed. Plus the unknown expenses of what is to follow.

It is my hope that this will be over sooner than later, but I am told to consider longer-term support.

Surgery Phase: The surgery is intense and invasive, which may include some possible complications.

Recovery phase: This will take months to first heal Ramsey's body.

Ramsey is supplementing the allopathic approach with integrative approaches (which fall outside of the purview of Western medicine and are not covered by insurance). These include hydrotherapy, thermotherapy, & immunotherapy, to support her natural immune response.

The full costs of treatment and recovery are not known at this time.

On the most basic, practical level, we estimate that Ramsey's expenses will include:

BASIC COSTS (needed ASAP):

Housing/rent over the next 10 months: $18,000 will help contribute towards monthly home rental although this is the bare minimum. In addition, Ramsey's quaint massage office space she may have to close down during this process. It is her main source of income however, so she would ideally like to keep it afloat so that when she is well enough to deliver care for others again, she can do so quickly with ease. It's a very simple small humble space, and affordable.
Living expenses over 12 months (food, utilities, transportation & medical insurance premium) = $6000 - again bare minimum, doesn't cover everything by any means. She has already racked up several thousand dollars from insurance copays alone lately.

INTEGRATIVE TREATMENTS (not covered by insurance):

Mistletoe therapy (proven to be a highly effective European modality that stimulates the body's immune system to attack cancer cells) = $6,000
Thermotherapy: Far Infrared Mats (Helps the body to heal, prevents metastatic cells, & strengthens immunity) = $2,365
Angel Farm Treatment (known for cancer healing, cleansing, detoxing metals, and colonics) = $6000
Supplements not covered by insurance to support healing: $6,000

ESTIMATED GRAND TOTAL: $44,365.00 (bare minimum)

Ramsey will need a lot of support over the future months, both financially and also emotionally, mentally, and spiritually.
