Serena

We are reaching out to incredible people like you to help us raise $20K through GoFundMe to provide food, shelter, utilities, transportation and necessities for our dear friend, Serena Davis, who has been diagnosed with Stage 4 liver disease. She is no longer able to work to support herself, so she has closed her tailor shop, the only means of income she has.

Serena has been in and out of the hospital getting treatment since early March. Our goal is to help ease Serena’s  financial worries as much as possible, so every dollar helps . . . whether it's $1 or $1,000 it will all be used to provide for her comfort and pay bills and expenses that none of us is ever financially ready to shoulder.  Plus, after her first hospital stay, she was in a car accident that now leaves her without any means of transportation.

The expense of hospitalization co-pays and meds has now been added to Serena’s strained finances, and there isn’t a safety net for her to fall back on.  Further evaluation at Barnes Hospital in St. Louis is on the horizon, so there’s hope that with treatment and care she can turn the corner, but with it comes worry for added costs.

Those who know Serena don’t have to be told what a wonderful person she is – bright, witty, intelligent and caring. They know she has a strong faith in the Lord and is loyal to her friends and loved ones.  So we would like to ask the hundreds of people whose lives have been touched by Serena to please see it in your hearts contribute something to make her troubles seem a little less dark and her days a little brighter.
