Urgent Support for Chantale Boyd-Kim and Family

Dear Friends and Supporters,

We are reaching out with heavy hearts as our dear family members, Chantale and DK, are facing an unimaginable challenge. The devoted couple met each other in South Korea, where Chantale was working in a preschool as an English teacher. In April 2017, after several years of incredible adventure, they married in a beautiful ceremony filled with love and hope.

Very soon after the wedding she began experiencing symptoms such as severe headaches and dizzy spells, and after months of fighting to be seen and heard, Chantale was diagnosed with Stage IV Glioblastoma Multiforme.

Glioblastoma is a devastating, aggressive, and fast growing brain cancer that invades brain tissue with tentacle-like tumour formations. Despite her relentless fight, trying every available treatment offered, including chemotherapy, radiation, surgeries, and clinical trials, Chantale recently received the devastating news that her condition is terminal, and that at most, she has only a few months to live.

For Chantale to receive the care that she needs at home, her husband, DK, and her mother, Sandra, have both left their jobs to provide the full-time care that Chantale now requires.

This has created intense financial stress for the family. The weight of intense anticipatory grief combined with severe financial strain is overwhelming.

We are raising funds to support Chantale, DK, and Sandra during this critical time. The funds will be used for:

Rent and essential living expenses
Groceries and daily necessities
Medical supplies and equipment
Medical care and support services
Professional aides
More treatment if it becomes available
And any other expenses that may be associated with the treatments and care for Chantale.
