Supporting the Sage Family

As fellow members of our Langley community, Gary Thandi and I are asking for your help to assist one of our families in need for expenses during this difficult time while they get back on their feet.

On Nov 3, 2022, 43-year-old Rhys Sage was tragically and unexpectedly taken from his family.

Rhys leaves behind his loving wife of 16 years, Julia, and children Tristan (11), Cara (9), and newborn Kadence.

Not only was he the primary breadwinner for his family, but he was also their staunch protector and proud cheerleader. The deeply devoted father was constantly juggling hockey practices and numerous sports games.

Rhys was previously employed as a foreman at Neptune Terminals and, as of late, Westshore Terminals. His dedication and professionalism were inspirational.

On behalf of Julia, I am seeking financial help for her and their children. The devastating void left by his unexpected death cannot be repaired. The intent is that Julia does not have to worry about finances as she focuses on herself and the children.

Please consider donating to the Sages. They are not people to ever ask for help; they are always the first to give it. Now they need our help. Let’s come together now as dads, moms, friends, neighbours and union brothers and sisters to help Julia and take away some financial stress.
