Tampa Bay Fencers Outreach Fund

Hi, my name is Matt Richardson. I'm an assistant coach at Tampa Bay Fencers, and a teacher at Pinellas Park High. Thirty years ago, I was taught to fence. That experience has, one way and another, shaped the course of my life, and always for the better.

Now it's my dream to pass that experience on to a new generation of fencers. So, I'm starting a fencing club at my school. I held an interest meeting a few weeks ago, and 45 students showed up! I currently have over 50 students who have shown interest in learning to fence.

Which brings me to my problem. I need funding to buy fencing equipment. My school has a fairly high population of students who live in poverty. Those students who are able will be providing their own equipment, but that still leaves me with about 20 students who will need equipment if they are to learn to fence.

So, my goal is to raise at least $2500 to purchase that equipment. Any amount you can donate would be appreciated. Help me share the art that has given me so much. Thank you.
