THAC0 Against Cancer: Derek's Quest

Derek Guder loves playing games.  It's his passion that borderlines on the edge of obsession.  His calm demeanor and bright mohawk are trademarks of his character whether sitting in on a match of Dungeons & Dragons or running events at the largest gaming convention in the world, Gen Con.

Derek loves games.

Sometimes, though, games can change the rules without a moment's notice - and sometimes these changes can have dire consequences.  Last month the game of life changed the rules for Derek Guder and he was diagnosed with cancer.


BUT - as Mr. Einstein pointed out, you should learn the rules of the game... and in the game of life, there is no rule more important that having good friends.

So now it's our turn to play "harder than anyone else" and help Derek Guder in his quest to defeat cancer.

Following all D&D tropes, a group of us from different character classes all met up at a tavern (er... Facebook) to form a party and begin this quest together - and you're invited, too.

Each bit donated goes to the additional costs not covered by Derek's insurance and to help make the next few months go a worry free as possible.  We've even gotten some snazzy companies to donate impressive swag for various pledge levels.
