Cowboy Up! For Taco James

Greetings and heartfelt thanks to all of you! My name is Laurie, but many of you from Mo's Place in Katy may know me by my bar name, "Miss Tomball".  I have set up this Go Fund Me page for my sweetheart, affectionately known by his own bar name - "Taco James"!  He's been part of the family at Mo's Place for many years, serving up his special seasonings and sauces at "Steak Night" on Mondays and "Taco Night" on the weekends for country music concerts.  James is a veteran who proudly served our country as a member of the Army Ranger Airborne.  He is a Life Member of the Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo, led a "World Champion" Cook-Off team called the Katy Kookers for nearly two decades, and has volunteered his time with the Katy Chamber of Commerce and Katy Rotary Club. On April 30th, James suffered a serious stroke and, like many self-employed entrepreneurs, he did not have insurance.  All funds raised here will be used to cover medical costs and the intensive physical therapy he must have during his journey to recovery.  
Mo has graciously offered to be the host venue for a family-inclusive benefit concert that is scheduled for Sunday, July 31st, from 12 - 7 pm. Please see the flyer above for more details and Save The Date!  

Special guest, Ryan Weldon, a Marine Corps pre/post 911 veteran from North Myrtle Beach, SC, will also be making an appearance. In February of 2015, Ryan embarked on a 5,000 Mile journey of his own to "Discover America’s Heroes" in an effort to raise awareness for Military and Law Enforcement Veterans suffering from PTSD or Post Traumatic Stress Disorder.  We hope you will join us to hear Ryan's story and to show your support for James!
