Support Taylor's Gender-Affirming Surgery!

Hello everyone!

I am organizing this GoFundMe campaign on behalf of my best friend, Taylor Selman (they/he), who is seeking gender-affirming (hysterectomy plus*) surgery! As you may know, gender dysphoria can cause immense distress and discomfort for transgender folks and Taylor is no exception. However, the costs associated with gender-affirming surgeries can be overwhelming. Studies have found that trans individuals on average spend tens of thousands of dollars throughout their lifetimes to medically transition.

Similar to the majority of transgender folks, Taylor is facing financial barriers that are preventing them from accessing this vital surgery. That's why I've set up this GoFundMe campaign - to rally our community and provide Taylor with the financial assistance they need. Your donation, no matter the amount, will make a real and meaningful impact on Taylor's life. By coming together, we can help alleviate the financial burden and show Taylor just how many transgender siblings and allies are in his corner.

Taylor is a remarkable person who improves the lives of so many around them. Raised in Dayton, Ohio, Taylor is always working to support the transgender community in Ohio through his work with a local HIV organization, their collage research art focused on queer and trans history, and the support group he created for transmen and transmascs.
