The Epic Adventures of Team ThunderCrisp

Donation protected
Hello and welcome to our story! My name is Christina Crisp, the lucky wife of Michael Crisp. Michael was recently diagnosed with Stage IV Pancreatic Cancer at the young age of 41, after going to see the Dr. for what we thought might be a stomach virus. That day changed all of our lives forever.  Michael is a son, son-in-law, brother, wonderful husband of 23 years, father of two beautiful girls (18 & 22), uncle to two nieces and friend to many. He is ready to fight this battle with the love and support of his family and friends and great team of doctors. It has been a struggle for me to continue working my regular hours at my job due to all the appointments and care that is required for Michael's treatment. We have had people ask how they can help so I created this page as a place for anyone to donate that might want to. The average cost of cancer starts around $150,000. Whew! Big number right?! We are applying for grants and any/all financial or medical assistance we may be eligible for. We are having to travel for chemo treatment and to see his team of doctors for labs and such on a regular basis. We are also working on the house we live in to better insulate it for winter (a project we started before the diagnosis). We are buying fresh produce and cooking 80-90% of our meals at home to insure that we are getting Michael the best nutrition possible along with vitamins, RSO oil and immune boosting supplements. His treatment, travel costs, food and supply costs and our crazy schedule all add up to a great deal of money. Not to mention the increased difficulties of being in a Pandemic due to COVID-19. We can use any assistance that might be offered no matter how big or small, as you can imagine how expensive cancer can be. Michael and I have always dreamed of making it to the day where we are old and grey, sitting on our front porch while holding hands and gazing at our family with pride and full hearts. We are still holding on to that dream as we go through this journey together and hope to share that triumph and victory with you all.  We don't have a porch yet (or own a home for that matter) but we are fighting for the opportunity of having more TIME in order to bring this dream to fruition. Any funds that are raised will be used for medical expenses, treatments & procedures, healthy foods, travel expenses and anything that Michael can benefit from during this process. God willing, if Michael can make it to remission, we will continue our story and welcome you to be part of that journey as well. We want to keep our bodies and minds as healthy as possible in order to be able to give our best efforts towards health and healing. We believe that sharing his journey will help others to know that this battle CAN be won and that no one should ever feel alone when having to fight it. Any and all support is appreciated more than words can express. If you aren't able to donate please share our story. We thank you all from the very bottom of our hearts and welcome you to Team ThunderCrisp!
