Margie Medina, (59 yrs) was diagnosed with metastatic (Stage 4 or advanced) breast cancer in Jan of 2016. She immediately started chemo in Feb and has undergone a catheter surgery and a number of blood transfusions due to the illness. With her condition, the various medications and dependent on oxygen 24/7 she is not allowed to live alone.
This has been a life changing situation for Margie and her family. A beautiful, strong, well-mannered women who once greeted customers with her gorgeous smile and hair always fixed up at Bucees store #1 (next to BC) then transferred to Bucees next to Randalls when she made the decision after 10+ years to leave to go work for Gulf Coast Gastroenterology. It was then one day at work she felt shortness of breath which later resulted into other complications that she was transported to Galveston. After a number of tests the results were given.
Margie has 6 children, 10 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren and an endless number of family and friends near and far. She was born in Ganado, Tx then lived in Bay City, Tx for a number of years before moving to Lake Jackson, Tx. She currently resides in Angleton, Tx with her daughter and son-in-law.
Margie has a good community support system and we only have one goal in mind ~ and that is to continue the fight! Her family and friends believe in her and only want to continue to do whatever God will allow us to do.
We have set a goal in order to continue to provide whatever necessary to continue this journey and we ask that you prayfully consider giving monetarily, volunteering your time to help during the bbq benefit* or even just supporting us by passing this info along to whomever might know Margie and want to help.
We thank you for your generous donation in advance and ask that you keep Margie in your prayers along w/all other cancer patients in the world. God Bless
*A bbq benefit is in process and subjected to be held on Sat. July 23, 2016. Location TBD at a later date. If you would like to donate an item or volunteer for this event please contact us.
