Hi My name is Veronica!
I am a mother of SEVEN children. Three of them have graduated from high school and have moved on to college. I could not be more proud! I have four more children , one in high school and three in grade school and I expect no less for them. I am determined to get them off to college as well.
Recent health issues have caused our family financial strain, and the timing could not be worse as we prepare for the beginning of a new school year.
The three youngest children (Marcellas, Alijah, and Benjamin) attend Maureen Joy Charter School. Maureen Joy Charter School is a free K-8 public charter school located in Durham, North Carolina. Our school is tuition free and open to the public. They focus on college-preparatory academics and character development to build our students into well-rounded citizens that are prepared for high school, college, and the world beyond.
One of the ways that students are prepared for success is by having them DRESS for it. Maureen Joy Charter School requires school uniforms that get students to look the part of being young scholars. Normally uniforms have not been an issue, but with my recent medical expenses, we need YOUR support. The amount I am seeking to raise would cover uniforms that will last all year for my three wonderful boys...I mean scholars!
