HER fight is OUR fight - Tessa's battle with Leukemia
Donation protected
On Friday, May 17, 2024, Tessa was taken to Macon Children's Hospital. Doctors there did blood work and discovered that her white blood cell count was EXTREMELY low. They performed a bone marrow extraction and on Monday, May 20th, Tessa's parents, Lauren and Casey Kersey, were told the devastating news that Tessa had Leukemia.
At this time, Tessa will have surgery to have a port placed so they can begin chemotherapy. Doctors have prepared Lauren and Casey that our sweet Tess will be in the hospital, consistently, for at least six months. Either Lauren or Casey has to be with Tessa at all times, resulting in an extensive leave from their places of employment.
FIRST AND FOREMOST, we are asking for prayers for Tessa! The power in prayer is HUGE and we know that GOD can and WILL heal Tess. Secondly, if you're able to donate anything to this family, it will be greatly appreciated. The financial strain that this is going to cause should be the least of their worries during this time!
Thanks in advance for your prayers and generosity!
