iPad & tablet donations in memory of Tex Walton

In our first fundraiser we were able to purchase a total of 12 iPads / Android tablets.  We donated a total of eight devices to Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown and two devices to United Hospital Center in Clarksburg and two devices to St. Joseph's Hospital in Buckhannon.

We started another fundraiser in memory of our Dad (and Grandpa), Tex Walton, for iPads and Android tablets to donate to Stonewall Jackson Hospital in Weston and Davis and Elkins Memoral Hospital.  In our prior fundraiser, we focused on WVU Medicine Hospitals and now we want to focus on local hospitals that our Pops was being cared for by before COVID-19.    He was best known for his gun shops in Buckhannon, TW Bow Shop and later Tex's Gun and Pawn Shop.  He was always will to donate to fundraisers and to help others.  With the donation of these devices, we will keep his "giving heart" alive.

We have been asked to spread the blessing of giving COVID-19 families more virtual time with their families by giving devices to other WV hospitals. 

The more money that is donated the more devices can be purchased.  The more devices purchased, the more we can supply to the COVID-19 rooms.

These devices are so important to the COVID-19 patients and families.  With the current hospital policies, communication must be done electronically.  No visitors are permitted.  Once the patient becomes ill to where the cannot breathe well, hand signals are utilized which can be seen via video.  The patients need this communication to help them heal and not become depressed.

My ultimate goal is to have a device in every covid room in WV.  But I know I have to take baby steps.

Update:  A grand total of 30 devices have been donated to various hospitals in West Virginia.  Donations will be given as money is received.

Update:  We have named this "Communicate with Love".  These devices will also be distributed to nursing homes and rehabilitation centers to help non-covid patients as well.  I hope to make donations to other states as well.
