Thanksgiving @ Soup Kitchen

This is reality. Some are afraid to look , others are afraid to support. He speaks the truth. Help me help others whose faith is no in the light. Lion of Judah International Ministries, Inc has adopted the Meriden Soup Kitchen, Meriden, CT to support food baskets for the Thanksgiving and Christmas seasons. Lion of Judah IM is a nonprofit 501(c)3 organization which provides support to those who are in need spiritually, financially and materially in Connecticut and abroad. We have helped to supply food, clothing, emergency support, books, bookbags, school equipment and money to the harder hit areas.

This is a tough season for many, and food prices are on a natural high for everyone.

We would like everyone to be blessed in this season. It is more blessed to give than to receive. The heart of the poor is always on the heart of God. But those who have blessed to give not just to have.

Food Insecurity is a new phrase for some of us. The USDA defines food insecurity as a lack of consistent access to enough food for every person in a household to live an active, healthy life. This can be a temporary situation for a family or can last a long time. Food insecurity is one way we measure how many people can't afford food.

Food insecurity is defined as a household-level economic and social condition of limited or uncertain access to adequate food. In 2020, 13.8 million households were food insecure at some time during the year. Food insecurity does not necessarily cause hunger, but hunger is a possible outcome of food insecurity.

You have heard the phrase " It takes a village to raise a child." It now takes a village to feed a village." We need your help to make a difference in the village of Meriden. I am looking for Halo Investors and Angel Investors who will commit to helping this project. We can move from insecurity to security just by your tangible giving.
