The $1,000,000 Dreamers Fundraiser for Lebanon
Donation protected
August 4, 2020 will be a day forever remembered. It was our Wedding Day. On this day, people were living their ordinary lives: making a living in the numerous shops of Beirut, eating in restaurants, shopping in malls, making their wedding vows in mosques and churches, giving birth to their first newborn, and taking a stroll on the beach. All of these joyous moments came to a halt when a massive explosion struck the City of Beirut.
The tragedy left over 200 people dead, over 6500 injured, and others missing. It also left sad memories in people's minds and hearts that they will never forget. The City that once bustled with life was now buzzing with people's cries of loss, fear, and despair.
However, regardless of explosions, economic collapse, or a pandemic, we will never give up.
We will never give up our right to pursue our dreams. Our right to be happy. Our right to live. Our right to build a better future. Our right to look forward to big and unimaginable things. Our right to love.
In the name of all the victims and all those who suffered any loss during the explosion, my husband Ahmad and I have created the $1 million Dreamers Fundraiser as a token of hope because hope is what keeps us going. With your support, we hope to lend a hand to the Red Cross and to the families who were affected by the tragedy. Live. Love. Dream
