The Gift of Hope: UW Student Recovery Program

We began a transformative journey at the University of Windsor three years ago: introducing Ontario's FIRST student recovery program. This is a cause dear to my heart, having experienced the power of such a program during my grad school years.

With YOUR unwavering support and the dedication of our University champions (Student Mental Health Fund and Office of Student Experience):

We've illuminated countless students' paths during their toughest times.

Elevated recovery awareness, trained our campus allies, and equipped many with the vital skill of Naloxone administration.

Fueled community spirit with weekly gatherings, monthly sober socials, and wellness sessions.

Paved pathways for students to enhance their leadership and professional experiences.

We're now setting our sights on asking UW to formalize the program to ensure it is here to stay in the years to come. As we dream bigger, we envision and manifest:

A dedicated campus space for us.

A salaried champion to spearhead as a program director.

An amplified program budget to broaden our horizons.
