Heart of Headcorn Community Project
Donation protected
Following the sudden closure and planned sale of the Headcorn Methodist Church, a campaign has been launched to purchase and preserve the building for the benefit of the people of Headcorn.
We propose to use the existing building for three projects -
The Headcorn Museum (a tourist attraction which will boost local businesses, showcase local artefacts and tell our village story; guided by local history experts).
The Headcorn Community College (providing Lifelong Learning opportunities for all, including Art, English, Geography, History, IT, Maths, Modern and Classical Languages, Philosophy, Science, Religious Studies, Hobbies, SEN courses, Study Support, Upskilling and Job Preparation)
The Headcorn Oasis (A Mindfulness Space for Counselling, reflection and meditation/prayer for people of all faiths and none, as we recover and heal from the Covid-19 pandemic and build a new future for our community )
We have named the project THE HEART OF HEADCORN to reflect the position of the building in the village and maintain it as a place of peace, kindness, universal love, tolerance and compassion.
Time is short, so please support our campaign to preserve this precious public space for you, your friends, your family and future generations.
NOTE : In accordance with the fundraising Code of Practice , should the Heart of Headcorn project be curtailed for any reason, all funds will be automatically returned to individual donors.
