The Inside

The dream did come true.

Our vision came to life in December 2019, we opened our doors, and our community started to build.

We didn't know what was round the corner or how our world would be shaken to its absolute core. We weathered that storm and clung on by our fingertips as we battled the covid curve ball. Our community grew stronger as we held free events to inject some fun and laughter into life - transforming The Inside into a giant gingerbread house, a haunted house, a rabbits warren - creating a place for people to come and be.

We've worked so, so hard on making sure every element of our small corner of Calverley means something to those who visit - whether that is hand warmers for cold fingers, sun cream for those forgotten parential moments, ice packs for playground bumps, a nutritious, exciting, and affordable menu and taking our food far and wide around our town for free to those who needed it during lock down.

But our future is sadly bleak. Costs are mounting against us and every day we struggle to simply break even. I never wanted to ask for support, especially at a time when everyone is feeling the pinch. I believed that, with the summer, the table would turn and we could make it a viable business but that's simply not happening.

This fund is our last attempt to stay alive. To keep the dream going and keep our community in Calverley. I'm sorry its come to me asking this - it's not something that is easy for me.
