My name is Judi. To say I love dogs is, well, quite the understatement. I’ve been working with dogs for 14 years and I can truly say I love what I do! I know the past two and a half years have been a struggle for all of us, in one way or another. Like so many of you, I have been faced with several challenges forcing me to really learn about who I am as a person and what I want to do with my life. And this has motivated me more than I thought possible…I want to do more, I want to give back to our community, and I want to create something wonderful…
All my years of experience, tested knowledge and pure love for dogs tell me (and those around me) it’s time to move forward and offer dogs and their parents a place to call their second home. A place where ALL dogs will be given the Judi ‘extra’ factor. It’s time to expand my pack!
I have this amazing plan to not only revolutionize doggie daycares but to change the standard model currently in use by most existing establishments. I am trying to open a facility that offers so much more than a room full of pups.
My goal is to open a doggy day care center that offers a safe, healthy, comfortable and luxury atmosphere for all dogs. A place where dogs can run, play, sleep, snuggle, learn, interact, and be positively stimulated throughout the day.
This facility will have multiple play and nap rooms, an indoor dog park, boarding suites, a grooming salon, a self-serve bathing station and a retail area. The services offered will include daycare, dog walking, training, grooming and specialty salon, and overnight stays; the retail area will offer an array of healthy and organic items as well as items from local vendors.
This will not be ‘just’ a business…it will also offer many programs to help dogs in need across the region. The Dog Coop, Inc. is not only committed in being the best Doggie Spot; it is also committed in giving back to the community. Our initial list of programs will include food bank drives for pet food and essentials; monthly donations to small, independent rescues; adoption events; a fund to help with pack members or community members cover pet emergency medical bills; classes made available to assist parents in the introduction between children and dogs; volunteer work with local rescues, to include choosing a rescue-a-month to assist in the promotion of pups for adoption; and, we will work towards holding free dog vaccination clinics! There will also be a program called Simon’s Safe Place…The Dog Coop, Inc. will maintain at least two boarding suites, always open, to provide a safe place for a dog in need. Whether it’s a dog who needs to be rehomed immediately, or an owner has been hospitalized and no one can care for the dog, or a woman is trying to leave a domestic violence situation but can’t leave the dog…whatever the situation; I’ve experienced a variety of challenging situations over the years and I know this is a service genuinely needed in this community.
I am desperately trying to open this business and have exhausted all possible avenues short of asking for help from others to secure the needed financial backing. I understand many of you might feel this is a bit much asking for help to start a business, and I accept that. If I could do this without help, I would…but I simply can’t.
I am more than just the business side of this endeavor…I’m a person who is passionate about doing all she can for as many dogs as possible. Whether giving these precious pups a place to socialize and learn, play and snuggle; or providing training needs; or making available a doggie style Ritz Hotel they so deserve; or, to put it simply, a place where their life can be saved...that is who I am and that is what The Dog Coop, Inc. is all about!
Thank you for helping me make this happen.
You’re Pawsitively Pawsome ❤️❤️❤️
