Strength in Unity, stand with Michael & Gammi

I'm Michael Seager, and that’s my mom above! I’d love to share my journey because I feel we all relate to the lemons life gives. It’s a life filled with love, sacrifice, and an unyielding determination to make a difference.

My mom will be 70 years old this month, but took a bad fall last week, breaking her collarbone, shoulder socket, and three vertebrae. Her health complications mean we're in for a painful road ahead, that will take lifestyle change on her end. I’m blessed to be the dad to a wonderful seven-year-old daughter, and everything I do is for her and my family. I firmly believe it takes a village. My mom, she's been my rock since day one. Despite facing her own battles, she always put me first, working tirelessly to ensure I had the opportunities she never did.

I've faced my fair share of challenges in the LGBTQ+ community. After 10 years of working in corporate America, I went back to school and became the first in my family to graduate with a master's. But along the way, I had to navigate a difficult breakup with my partner of eight years, who didn't understand my dreams of further education and social justice.The financial burden of that breakup hit hard, leaving me with $72,000 in CC debt and 150,000 in student debt, while he walked away unscathed. But I refused to let that setback define me. I've been working day and night, juggling odd jobs and building my real estate business, all while caring for my mom.

Now, more than ever, I'm committed to making a difference. I believe in the power of social justice and the importance of amplifying marginalized voices. That's why I'm pouring my heart into my real estate ventures and starting a social media platform dedicated to sharing diverse perspectives.

We’ve got this mama! Keep fighting!

After multiple trips from San Antonio to Dallas, I was protected. I fell asleep while talking to my ex-wife and daughter. Unfortunately, I was on the freeway and my vehicle was a total loss. Praise God, everybody in the vehicle is safe! My mom was there again for me in a really hard time.
