Raising The Knights of Valor

I had a dream about knighthood. I always loved Knights, swords, armor... Anything with them in a story and I just soaked it up as a child. I wanted to start a ministry called "The knights of valor", but at the age of of 16, thinking I would never meet the queen, I asked my local pastor to knight me. We had a ceremony that next week, and with family in attendance, it left a lasting mark on my heart.
Fast forward 18 years- I'm 34 now. Was fromally knighted into a one-thousand year old order of knighthood that still focuses on helping others. I was a youth pastor for 2 years, in youth ministry for over 10, and volunteered for 5 years travelling to 17 countries with an international ministry focusing on growing values for youth, parents, and leaders. All this time I could not let go of my passion for "The Knights of Valor". So for the past 7 months, I have been prayerfully building...
As of January of this year, "The Knights of Valor, LLC" is a legal entity, and is currently seeking out individuals who want to be knights. These knights focus on using the unique gifts and talents we all have, and serving the community in creative, various ways. One of those ways is formal mentoring.
There is already in existance a 1 year curriculam for youth to go through, rising through historical ranks to become a Knight of Valor. I am using the "Elements of effective practice for mentoring" as a guide, and will be networking with them in May of this year. I have had 4 youth in training over the last 5 years, and the material is solid, and still being added to, but I need to better learn how to teach swordplay. I will have a 2 year program by the end of 2016. Mentors will be trained to not only connect with the student, but with family, their community, school, and church. The model is a holistic approach to mentoring and job creation. Mentors will be checked, hired, trained, certified, and paid depending on their quantity of students.
Here is a visual example to what is already set up, and what the structure will look like:
Stakeholders (Confirming families now)
--They are established as advisors, but hold a lot of professional accountability to the vision, goals, and current direction of the LLC as a whole.
:
International Advisors (Confirming individuals now)
--Helping me to understand all the various cultures, and how the Knights of Valor could help in various ways.
:
Advisors (On the state to state level, in MT currently)
--Helping to advise on local matters that do not apply to the other individuals above.

If you have a heart to love others beyond labels, serve the community and get your fingernails dirty, honor those who dont see any honor in themselves, or want to discover what it means to be a Knight, lets take back knighthood. It's not about status, but about the heart. It's time for the Knights of Valor to wake up and start building something greater than their own empire. Lets build something together, for everyone.
On a personal Note- If the finances come through, not only will I be extatic to see the newly found social entrepreneurial adventure light up for everyone to see, but to see the same light that I had in my eyes at 16 when I was knighted, seen again as those youth recieve their knighthood, and as the mentors applaud them into an order that gives hope and life.
If you are considering donating to this cause, a thank you does not seem to fit. Because it's people like you who love charity, youth, life, and love that should be honored.
If you would like to know more about the knights of valor, what we are doing, have any questions, or if you would like to get involved- Send me a personal email. I would love to chat.
This is my only lifelong dream. May I invite you to help?
