Hello , My name is Tiar. I am 5 years old, and a super strong kid. But recently, we found out that I had a mass growing from my adrenal gland on the left side. After having an MRI. I went in for surgery for a simple biopsy, and they ended up removing the mass and adrenal gland. My kidney and spleen are untouched.
While I was in surgery, they placed a port in my chest for medications, and blood draws for the future. They have already told us that I am going to need chemotherapy to battle the unknown masses that spread into my lungs.
I am currently home and recovering from my surgery. We will not know the results from pathology for about 3-5 days. Once we have a confirmed diagnosis we will update everyone. So far, we have had 3 physicians tell us that they are pretty sure its called Adrenocortical carcinoma. Which is a rare disease that doesn't effect many people. There are 0.3% of every million people per year, that get diagnosed.
With knowing how rare this is, my mommy and daddy are not working to focus on my care and comfort. We are also going to be transferring me to another facility to receive the utmost best quality of care that we can get for me.
We have this link on Facebook to keep everyone updated and informed about what is going on with me and my family. Please keep us in your prayers and if you can share, follow, or donate my family and I would greatly appreciate.
