TENNIS VISION 2035

Donation protected
I was ball boy at a local tennis club in Lagos, Nigeria at 7 years old, played tennis at the primary and secondary schools in Lagos and Kaduna States, and was given a tennis scholarship at 19 years old to attend St. Augustine University in Raleigh, North Carolina at the age of 19; graduated with a degree in economics in 1983.

I played professional tennis from 1983-1989, became the head of tennis at the Doral Resort and Country in Miami, where late Arthur Ashe, my teacher and mentor, was the International Tennis Director. Ashe inspired to help young players in Africa and beyond. I represented Nigeria in tennis at the 1988 Seoul Olympics in South Korea and played Davis Cup for several years

I returned to school after my coaching career in 1994 to become a schoolteacher at Homestead Senior High School for the last 25 years and an adjunct professor at Florida International University for the last 15 years.

I am the Executive Director and co-founder of TENNIS VISION 2035, an organization dedicated to sports and educational development of young people. I am the President/CEO of Sadiq Abdullahi Sports Enterprises Inc., a youth sports and education development organization.   All donated and gifts will go into the growth and development of young players in the Tennis Vision 2035 programs.
