To Save Lucky Charlie
Donation protected
"Charlie" wandered into a backyard today. No one knows how or why, but there he appeared. Kind strangers began to reach out, afraid that the clearly injured dog might be a risk, but unable to turn him over to authorities. The East Falls Dog Park Members responded in force, unwilling to refuse refuge to our canine kind. In nearly no time, Charlie was nestled in the donations of members -snuggly blankets, a warm bed, fed, watered, and loved by local children and adults alike- to the point of exhaustion. The only problem? A seemingly broken hip? Vet visits, paid for by East Falls Dog Park Members, in lieu of Charlie's continued pain and suffering, will continue to mount, and there is the consideration of possible amputation. Regardless of whether Charlie's owners come forward, or whether a member or otherwise, loves Charlie for his forever home, these bills are a challenge beyond measure. Only a village can Save Charlie. And only a village is what we create when we come together - To Save Charlie.
