Tobi's Gender Reassignment Surgery

My name is Tobi Claire Locke. I'm a 36 year old trans woman, a small-time freelance illustrator, and I've spent my whole life trapped inside a body with the wrong parts.  Today, I'm asking for your help to get a gender-affirming surgery I desperately need to remedy that.

Over the past six years I've been on hormone therapy which has helped enormously, but I always knew that this was going to be the final hurdle to finally be able to wake up and feel like I am finally the 'me' I was meant to be. And that hurdle is finally in sight.

I've been going through electrolysis in preparation for a surgery that's dated for September 19th of this year, with the surgeon I had always hoped to be lucky enough to have. The only problems are, despite the best efforts of the hospital, my insurance is sadly not the best and the deductible for it/the upfront cost for this surgery is astronomically high for someone like me.  I've been barely able to cover the costs for the preparations as well as my medications, and I'll also need to stay in New York City for 3 weeks for follow-up care. That's where this comes in. 

If I could reach my goal, I would be able to pay the deductible in full, and use what little I'm able to save between now and then as a buffer for that three week stay, but the truth is; any help you're able to give would be life-changing for me.
